St. Michael’s celebrated Twelfth Night this year with a gala event that included the crowning of a queen and king of the festivities. Twelfth Night celebrated the coming of the Magi and the end of the Christmas season. Originally scheduled for the annex, parishioners instead gathered for a meal in Hannifan Hall instead because of the crowd size. A meal consisting of lamb, chicken, salads, and many other items was served.  As is tradition, there were also two cakes, one for the men and the other for the women for dessert. The cakes were cut according to the number of each gender present. Hidden in each cake was a gold coin. The recipient of each became the king and queen of the event.

Special Mutual Ministry

Sunday Starts at 9:00 a.m

Sunday January 10th is Mutual Ministry Sunday at St. Michael’s. The activities will start at 9:00 in the chapel for a short introduction and prayer with brunch to follow in Hannifan Hall. Following the brunch, the Mutual Ministry team, lead by Ivan Adams, will discuss with parishioners what mutual ministry is, how it is displayed at St. Michael’s, and where the parish may want to go with it in the future. Please come and share your ideas .
